Meet Cashton Wyatt Franek
Meet Cashton Wyatt Franek, a resilient outdoorsman with Triplegia Cerebral Palsy defying the odds and inspiring others with his passion for adventure and the outdoors and overcome challenges.
Cashton Wyatt Franek, now 13, was born at just 22 weeks, weighing only 19 ounces. At the time, he was the youngest living male born at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Diagnosed with Triplegia Cerebral Palsy, doctors told us he would likely never speak, eat, or even breathe on his own. But through endless love, perseverance, and hard work in therapy, Cash continues to prove them wrong and will live a full life with limited assistance.
Outdoor adventures can be difficult for those with limited mobility, but organizations like Disabled Outdoorsmen make them possible. They have given Cash access to thousands of acres in adaptive vehicles, allowing him to experience the outdoors in a way we never could have managed alone. With the support of their incredible staff, he has been able to navigate and fully enjoy the beauty of nature.
Disabled Outdoorsmen provides not only adventure but also a sense of community. The friendships and familiar faces we’ve encountered have made every experience even more special, giving Cash a place where he feels truly included. The shed hunt and exotic game tour remain some of our favorite memories—ones we talk about often. We are beyond grateful to those who support the disabled community and make these opportunities a reality.
